1997 - Gaja, Angelo Barbaresco Nebbiolo

My wife and I agree we both came to the same conclusion.
I think sometimes wine critics are on crack. They completely miss ratted this wine. It should have been 100+ is was such a nice wine full bodied and full of flavor and aromas.

1993 - Gaja, Angelo Barbaresco Nebbiolo

What a dud. I was expecting so much more from this wine. It was boarding. It had nothing exciting about it at all.

Has anyone here ever tried a wine that was just shocking? That the best word I can I think of to describe this wine shocking. By shocking I mean Shockingly Good. There are aromas of Strawberries and flowers. An awesome dark coloring and just all around a good wine.

1996 - Gaja, Angelo Barbaresco Nebbiolo

There was one glass left in the bottle. I thought I would just finish it off. So I poured myself a glass and as I did I could see the coloring was a Red with a nice purple. I could scents of Earth and minerals and Cassis. This wine was Fruity and full bodied.

1990 - Gaja, Angelo Barbaresco Nebbiolo

It was my friend’s birthday and I forgot to get him a gift. So I scrambled around in my cellar and found this bottle of Gaja. Not sure if my friend would like it. I grabbed it anyhow and headed out the door.

When I got to my friends house. I handed him the bottle and said happy birthday. He said thank you. We went about the night and had a great time.

About 3 weeks later I had a message on my phone when I got home from work it was my friend and he sounded very existed. He said “you have to call me back as soon as you get this.” I kind of started to panic a little because he was so excited

When I called him back I said “what’s wrong” he said “nothing. Why?” I said “You sounded so exited on your message I thought that something bad my have happened.” He said “oh yeah that. Something bad did happen.” I said “What in a hurried voice.” He said “I try the wine you gave me and I loved it.” I sighed “Is that it?!” He said “no. now I have no idea where I can get more. Can you help me out.” I just about hung up on him.

1988 - Gaja, Angelo Barbaresco Nebbiolo

My dad and I went out for dinner one day and we had this wine Right from the start as soon as I popped open the cork I could smell some cherry to it. Once in the glass I smelt herbs and oak. The finish on this wine is so long and the body is full.

Dude this wine was weak!! Total waste of cellar space. Not even worth a star ratting they need a negative start rating for this one.
