I am pondering my Halloween wine choice and wondering what others choose for this holiday. After all, much gets said of wine choices for Thanksgiving, Easter, Christmas, and even the 4th, but not of Halloween. Of course we did have a chocolate discussion here recently which speaks to the high probability of pairing with candy on Halloween. Have to be at court early tomorrow for arguments, so the official party isn't until tomorrow, so tonight I need a good Halloween wine.
I think I will open a bottle of 2005 Argyle Spirithouse.
Tell me what you all end up drinking, I'm curious.
Happy Halloween!

I did not get to have my Spirithouse last night, but I am having it right now as we prepare for a Halloween party, so it is still fitting. It is very nice, and reminds me, particularly on the nose, of a Volnay Santenots. It still needs time, but is quite nice.
As for pumpkin soup, I think I'll be making some soon, as I have a very large, beautiful pumpkin out front that should do nicely.
