My wife and I had a nice bottle of Chateau Faizeau, 2002 I believe. It can be difficult to find in the US. We had ours in Vegas at the Eiffel Tower restaurant just over a year ago. I was able to find the 2002 and 2003 on WineCommune.com at a fraction of the price I paid in Vegas ($89/bottle). One can find Faizeau for under $20 typically. St. Emillion grown and mostly rated high 80's. Personally, I'd give it a low 90's, but it is a little light on the finish. I prefer the 2002 over the 2003...maybe just some age needed on the 03?

Just a suggestion...

Beyond the top 7 Chateau's, there are several hundred other producers in Bordeaux that are making great wines. A lot of Bordeaux (unlike Burgundy) actually does make it to the US so there are plenty of opportunities to shop around.

are you serious? if money is no object then you have hundreds of thousands of wines to choose from.
on the other hand if you buy your bordeaux from the super market, you'd be better off going to some tastings and find something you like for yourself.

i've heard margaux is nice.

: JJ. Buckley has a great selection of Bordeaux wines. The sales people are very friendly in case you have to call in.

I heard that shipping costs are outrageously expensive, almost like they are trying to charge more and add another income source. I could be wrong and they could be the cheapest out there. just what I heard.
