I would like to introduce you to European Wine Resource. EWR is a fully licensed importer and wholesaler, specializing in the most coveted and elusive wines in the world. Our goal is to provide our clients with a reliable source for these wines.
European Wine Resource and its principles have maintained rare wine portfolios since 1970. Today, this collection has grown into one of the largest archives in North America.
From the beginning, it has been our focus to represent wines from only the most time-honored producers in the world. These wines are often those that are reserved for special occasions – and can frequently offer the most memorable wine experiences of one’s life.
While we offer a great emphasis on Classified French Bordeaux, Italian wines, and Vintage Port, you will also find excellent assortments of French Burgundy, Sauternens, Rhone wines, German Reislings, and many American classics. Although we seek to serve the most discriminating wine conneisseurs, there are many hand picked selections that are moderately priced and thoroughly enjoyable.
The majority of our inventory is purchased on release or en primeur and is kept in their original wood cases and maintained in impeccable temperature and humidity controlled environments in our new, East Bay warehouse.
We have invested an enormous effort to ensure the quality of our wines. In addition to our personal inspection and tasting, a well-founded provenance is extremely important to us and thoroughly researched. We can fully guarantee the authenticity and quality of each bottle. In addition, we can often provide digital images to assure our customers prior to purchasing.
