Unlike any Rioja I've tasted; a modern-style romp of fruit with smooth layer of oak running throughout.  Impeccably smooth tannins

Medium-light red with tones of purple, leading to a red rim that fades to milky pink at the rim.  The nose is full of a slightly sweet, luxurious fruit core surrounded by delicate floral aromas.  The balance stays true on the palate and the soft plum and cherry fruits are surrounded a nice layer of cedar and spice.  The oak is well integrated and this is drinking great now!

Ridiculous Value Rose

This is an absolutely stunning value rose from Spain.  This has a beautiful pinkish hue and an incredibly aromatic nose.  Watermelon, strawberries, white peach, and a soft floral note all play well together.  On the palate crisp, clean, and fresh, with great acidity and rich minerality.  This is a perfect wine for the Spring and Summer months ahead.  It is an excellent apertif wine and will go great with grilled foods.  I swear if I was served this in a black glass that it was a red wine; it has that much complexity!

This was only $20 at PJs.  What a great deal on an aged white wine.  The nose echibited some vanilla scented popcorn, but the palate was more on the citrus side with great minerality and had  adecent finish.

had w/ paella. . a bit boring but pleasant to drink.  Litlle tannic, nice black berries with good acidity to pair w/food.  Some oak and smoke on the nose.  Will drink another in 1-2 years.

Bright ruby red in color. Well balanced, alcohol and fruit seemd in step. Good heady boquet, again like a winery barrel room, a smell I love very much. A hard one taste wise to put a finger on. first thought it was tangy and tart, later I detected cherry flavors. A taste appeared in the mouth after awhile that I could not identify but wasn't a detraction. No dry nor sweet no over oaked, a good solid wine. Went well with salmon and rosemary potatos.

Good rioja

Very decent rioja for the price. Flavorful, medium bodied wine, had a strong nose. Decanted, and the flavors faded. This is meant to be consumed same day opened in my opinion. Very worthwhile purchase for everyday consumption and dinner.

An amazing Lan. Definitely different in style from previous vintages. Very New World, with bright black fruit, extremely silky tannins and just a touch of oak. May have detected slight brett, but the wine was wonderful. Full bodied with a long finish.

Dencent - tinted water?

Had it with Thanksgiving dinner - Not bold enough to interfere with a smoked turkey and pecan sweet potatoes, but not strong enough to make any statement whatsoever. I'm not one for rose, but if you want a forgettable wine that will satisfy guests while not interfering with food, give this Muga a try.

2004 - Montebuena Rioja
Rustic Red

This wine has a deep red core with hints of garnet and a light maroon rim. Aromas of very ripe cherry and cassis are present along with some rusticity and light white pepper. The body is rather light with tight acids, more cherry, and carob undertones. Consistent finish. This wine will go very well with stews and barbequed meats.
