| 1995 - Mouton-Rothschild |
| It hurts |
| May 14, 2012 |
|
|
| My last mouton 95 and now I will be unable to drink my 100 bottle cellar.Due to my ambush I have all top harlan, abreu, colgin, and some other amazing 2001 ,2002 & I think a Clarendon astralis, and Intregrity 2003?I was shot and must part with my wines & single malts & even 2 antique louis XII.Well anyone near Vermont, southeat,by Brattleboro if you want the perfect wines for any baby boomer, these are perfect.I didn't want to wait for a better vintage because I was looking for wines I would still enjoy & taste them,I have Harlan estate 2001 3-4 1-1994.Best to call or come on up.If you buy enough or all,I'll throw in a wine cellar.(100 btl enclosed)cost approx $1400
802 365 9795 evenings or during the afternoon 12-2 is good.
Enjoy..because I can only rarely enjoy wines or my extinct single malts worth approx 40K. |

| 2001 - Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon |
| Smooth! |
| Dec 24, 2011 |
|
|
| 10 years of aging smoothed this one out beautifully. Perfectly balanced. Drank this bottle at dinner (Filet with foie gras and truffle sauce) along with 5 other solid bottles of Napa Cab, including Stags Leap Artemis 07, Nickel & Nickel 05, and Silver Oak 07. The 01 Caymus stole the show. Was tough to go back to the others after this. Glad I have a couple more. |

| 2008 - Highbank Proprietary Red |
| Best Wine produced by this vintner |

|
| If you want to try one of the great Australian cabernet creations this is it.
Called 'Family Reserve' these yanks have learned alot from 20+ years of winemaking and wine growing in Coonawarra.
Treat yourself to a trip to OZ and a memorable visit to Highbank's Honeysuckle Rise accommodation where this great wine awaits your personal evaluation.
A trip of a lifetime. |

| 2006 - Iuli Barbera del Monferrato Superiore Barabba |
| A great Barbera at a reasonable price! |
| Oct 27, 2011 |

|
| This wine was recommended to me by the somalier at Felidia in NYC ... a great choice with a tomato based pasta followed by a fabulous calves liver. The wine has lots of fruit, good balance, low tanins and it is ready to drink. |

| 2004 - Firestone Gewurztraminer |
| Firestone Tires Is Now Making Wine? That Explains the Rubber Taste. |
| Aug 14, 2011 |
|
|
| I had the (dis)pleasure of tasting a pirated bottle from this batch. Though I was initially impressed by how tight and backwards the wine was, the subtle aromas of blackberry, plum, and lavender seeds were overpowered by a senescent nose of stucco, tanbark, and volleyball stuffing. I felt like I was drinking in the accouterments of a commoner's physical education class. (LOL) I'll give this a light, LIGHT D+ but recommend remedial classes in oenology for all parties involved, excluding myself. Good Day. |

| 2001 - Castelnau De Suduiraut |
| Untitled Review #Q |
| Aug 14, 2011 |
|
|
| Promising start with a nose of sandalwood, cashew, and sunflower petals with complex spice developing and a touch of the tobacco, all ruined by a backwards finish of acetone, printer ink, and mechanical pencil lead. The palate is utterly senescent but softens momentarily to become borderline approachable. Extreme acidity and flaccid finish. Pairs well with garlic fries, without the ketchup.
Good Day. |
