This was my first tasting of the 2000 LMHB at a 2000 Bordeaux tasting dinner last night that included 15 wines of the 2000 vintage. Super rich,dark red with a purplish tinge at the rim. There is a massive ,mulilayered attack of ripe berry fruit,vanilla,oak,graphite and almost cardomon like spices on the nose.On the palate it has incredible structure and complexity with a cornucopia of various fruit flavors,oak and incredibly big soft tannins. The finish lasts 45 seconds and continues to unfold the palate profile. A definite candidate for wine of the vintage along with Pavie and Margaux. I don`t think I could choose. I`m happy I have them all. Approx price $350 Score50+4(optic)+15(nose)+20(taste)+10(overall)
