A classic Bordeaux, albeit a second wine. Took a little while to open
up (at least an hour). Tannins and fruit well-integrated, nose not
particularly pronounced, but not absent either. Finish reasonable,
although not overly long. This bottle really shined with roast beef or
lamb (happened to have some of each on hand). I am not certain how much
this bottle will change or develop over time. I have 5 left, and I will
try one in 6 months or so. I suspect the tannins will soften a bit over
a few years. After all, it is only 6 years old, which is not all that
much for a decent claret.
