jorray	Rated on Apr 28, 2008 Dow is one of the oldest Port wineries, dating to 1798. Fruit is from the Upper Douro region of Portugal. This Dow 20 Year Tawny Port is light to medium brick red in the glass. Aromas are light and sweet, oozing tobacco and tar. On the palate, there is a hot alcohol blast with the sweetness. This rolls along into a mellow, round, nutty middle, with an even, lingering finish. Nice. Three stars out of five, with a plus for plushness.
