I like this wine for it's a very pleasant aroma. The taste has a good strong oak flavor, good fruit, very silky texture. There's a soft tannin kick and a development of vanilla as it passes. It's a very pleasing wine and a good balance of flavors.

Sampled 2/2/08. This deep purple wine has a nose of flowers, cassis, tar and black currant. The wine is smooth and round already. The black currant, rose petals, hint of tar/tobacco and sweet Oak is very well balanced across the long finish. Although a great wine it just lacks something to push it up to a 94 point wine. There is an element of simplicity to it, despite is varied flavors. Also hurting this wine`s score is that it not particularly age-worthy and it probably won`t get any better over the next few years. A reasonably priced crowd pleaser.
