Cos d'Estournel Bordeaux Blend 1996 Lots of terroir
Purple-Teeth	Rated on May 12, 2008 This wine drinks like a classic St. Estephe. It begins lean and somewhat austere with substantial mineral notes. Its structure is apparent right out of the bottle, but the mid-palate is quite hollow. After about an hour and a half of decanting, though, the fruit begins to come alive and flesh out the structure. All of the things we like about Bordeaux varietals are there - cassis, red and black fruits, etc. - not in a big way, but well balanced. 1 Toast Toast this Review

garygooselvr	Rated on Aug 27, 2007 EXCELLANT WINE!!! This Bordeaux dances across the scenes like a skilled dancer. With a fragrance that had some much verity it would satisfy just about anyone. There is a thickness to this Bordeaux that is nice and full. This wine is structured well with a full body and a long finish it was satisfying and sweet. 1 Toast Toast this Review

Sampled 5/29/06. This wine was decanted for 4 hours, and it needed it. Deep purple/garnet color. Obvious Bordeaux nose. Cassis, black currant, herbs and spices, slight Oak on finish. Remains strong through mid palate and the tannins are firm but pliable and work well with the rich but not overripe fruit. A real winner, but I`d it put back on its side for at least a few more years.
