I enjoyed this wine.  It doesnt have as much oaky flavor that I enjoy so much but the smoothness and quality are unmistakable.  This wine has a high alcohol content and will give you a little smack in the face but you will enjoy it.  Lots of flavor and very smooth. Its on the higher end as far as price but is worth it for a special occation and will impress the friends in the wine club.
 2004 - Sebastiani Secolo

I love Sebastiani wines.  The cab is my favorite.  When I found this Secolo blend I had to try it.  Priced well, its a great wine and one sure to impress the winos in your group. 68% Cab 16% Petite Verdot 8% Malbec 7% Merlot and 1% Petite Sirah. There was a hot summer that year and it helped produce a vintage that is more rich that others from this vineyard. The complex mixture of grapes, most from Sonoma, aged in French and American Oak, produces a wine you are sure to enjoy.

Until I had this wine I really hadnt paid much attention to Paso Robles but this one definately got my attention.  The wine does need to breath a little so try to be patient when you get it.  The nose is bold and fruity.  Just a hint of the barrel.  The wine is smooth over the toung and the finish is great.  Lots of oaky fruit and complex flavors that I still havent been able to make out.  I just enjoy it and I think you will to.

If you like bold wines you will love this one.  Very high quality.  I will punch you right in the face.  The finish is very nice and lingers for close to 30 seconds. Lots of oak and fruity spice. I will benefit rom about 30-45 of decanting but the first sip right out of the bottle was awesome.  The bottle is on the higher end of the price scale but it is worth every penny.  The bottle is also very heavy.  The empty bottle is heavier than a normal full bottle of wine.  This has nothing to do with the experience of the wine of course but I just thought I would share that tid bit.  ENJOY!

This wine is great.  Simple as that.  Napa Valley all the way.  Very high quality from the nose to the finish.  Lots of oak. Very smooth tannins. Great with a ribeye or just enjoying some wine with friends.  If you like to get together with friends and turn each other on to different wines, you will definately impress with this one.  ENJOY!

I enjoyed this wine.  I really did.  But....when I found out how much my wife paid for it I was blown away.  This was one of the smoothest, highest quality wines I have ever had but $180 a bottle seems way over the top.  No one can seem to keep it on thier shelves here in Dallas.  I guess I have alot more to learn about how wines are priced. If you can stomach the price, you will love it.

I was at Voo Doo in Vegas last month and this was brought to the table.  I am a big fan of Silver Oak and other big, bold Cali cabs and this one really got my attention.  The nose is incredible.  You can smell the quality before the wine even touches your toung.  The smooth tannins and lingering oaky finish left me wishing we could have another bottle.  Its pricy but worth every penny.  ENJOY!
 2005 - Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon

I had heard a lot of hype about Caymus and how good it is.  I really have a taste for the big California cabs in this class, Silver Oak, Cake Bread and so on...but this one was not quit that good.  I enjoyed it, to be sure, but its not a Silver Oak.  Great nose, very smooth but this finish didnt linger as long as I wanted it to.  My guess is, this wine will age well and will benefit from about 30-45 minutes of decanting.

I had this wine in a little cafe in the piazza in Greve in Chianti in April 2007.  Very smooth with a nice finish.  I generally enojy California wines but this Chianti Classico gives them a run for their money.  If you can get a bottle it will be worth the effort.

My wife and I spent three days at this vinyard and we really enjoyed this super Tuscan.  Very high quality nose, taste and finish. Great with food of course but very drinkable with or without food. Very hard to get in Texas but if you can get some shipped in it will be worth it.

This wine is such a great find I wanted to share it with everyone.  This wine is very affordable for everyday drinking but has qualities of much more expensive wines that would be for a special occation.  The nose is very nice.  You can smell the oak and fruit.  This wine goes down smooth and has a nice lingering finish that will remind you of more expensive wines.  Enjoy!
